Solar eclipse glasses
Library patrons can pick up free solar eclipse glasses from the Española Public Library beginning March 25 through April 5 (two sets of glasses per library card), to watch the solar eclipse on April 8.
Grab n’ go crafts
Stop by the Española Public Library each Tuesday for a grab n’ go craft. A rain cloud craft and a book buddy craft will be available on April 9.
Afternoon movie
Catch “Calendar Girls” from 1:30 to
3 p.m. at the Española Public Library and enjoy free popcorn and a drink.
Senior painting
A senior paint event will be offered from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on April 18 at the Española Public Library. The event is open to those 55+. Space is limited. To sign up, call Sherry at 747-6086.
Vendors wanted
The Sacred Heart Ladies Auxiliary in Los Alamos is seeking vendors for the Spring Arts and Crafts Fair to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 11 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church’s Karen McLaughlin Hall. Local Genealogist Dennis Tiede will be at the Bond Museum every Wednesday from 12-4. He will meet with participants and will guide them on a path to know more about their heritage. It is free. Tiede has been a hobby genealogist since 1985, is a member of the Genealogical Society of New Mexico and specializes in families of Northern New Mexico. He has his own database from his personal research and is excited to share what he knows with his community.
