Española City Manager Mark Trujillo (right) flipped a coin, Dec. 5, to select a company to run a public auction of city-owned property. City councilors Robert Seeds (center, left), Pedro Valdez (center) and Peggy Martinez (center, right) agreed that J&J Auctioneers was “heads,” and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers was “tails.” Trujillo flipped the coin, City Clerk Anna Squires (left) caught it, and quickly placed it on the dais, with heads showing.
