The Pojoaque Boys and Girls Club will host the New Mexico Boys and Girls Clubs Youth of the Year and Junior Youth of the Year competitions March 27 and 28 at the Buffalo Thunder Resort in Pojoaque.
Twenty-four clubs will be participating in the event. The winners will be announced at a banquet March 28. The Youth of the Year winner will qualify for the regional competition in Dallas, Texas.
Pojoaque Youth of the Year is Española Valley High School senior Veronica Quintana and Junior of the Year is Pojoaque Intermediate School seventh-grader Desiree Garcia.
