Change My Oil Back
Monday, March 30
• 3:21 a.m. — A Victoria Drive caller said her husband didn’t want to give her back her credit cards, driver’s license or car keys. She said she threw his keys outside and that’s why he didn’t want to return her belgongings. Both individuals had been drinking, 911 dispatch logs states. No report was taken; the caller just wanted her things.
• 2:23 p.m. — Two women, including one known prostitute, were sitting in a car asking for assistance and using drugs, A Calle Chamisal caller said.
• 2:27 p.m. — An East Sanchez Street caller said one of her third cousins took $8 from her car a week ago. She said she had been selling the newspaper and she couldn’t pay the newspaper company back because the cousin had her money.
• 9:48 p.m. — A Wal-Mart employee said after he changed the oil on a customer’s car the man threatened him and accused him of messing up. The man asked other employees where the caller lives because he wanted to beat him up. The caller was advised to contact police again if anything happened.
Too rowdy at Tropi
Tuesday, March 31
• 1:50 p.m. — A North McCurdy Road caller said her old landlord dumped some old couches and other stuff on her father’s property. She said she had moved out of the property about a month before but the lease was up the day that he came and dumped the stuff. No report was wanted.
• 4:02 p.m. — A Club Tropicana employee said a woman who was high on something jumped into a customer’s car. He called back to say she was banging on some cars and got into someone else’s car. Police attempted to detox the woman, but she pulled out of her handcuffs and fled the scene. No report was taken and apparently the woman was not found.

Wednesday, April 1
• 10:04 a.m. — An Española Valley High School employee said a student was out of control and not acting appropriately. The caller said there was supposed to be a fight but it was broken up before anything happened. The girl was brought in for questioning and became uncontrollable. She was suspended from school.
• 10:33 a.m. — A caller said a man and woman were kicking a truck and punching a window outside of Windstream’s offices. They couldn’t be found.
• 6:21 p.m. — A North Prince Drive caller said someone took the bed rails off his truck.
• 6:54 p.m. — A West Pueblo Drive caller said some valuable baseball cards were stolen from his garage. He said his friends told him two men were trying to sell the baseball cards.
• 9:15 p.m. — A Calle Serrano caller said a man came to her property and asked for baking soda, and she wanted an officer to make sure he wasn’t around her property anymore.
Man Wields Tire Iron
Thursday, April 2
• 1:19 p.m. — A caller said he was trying to get some items from his wife’s house, but she wouldn’t allow him. He didn’t have any paperwork proving ownership of the items he wanted to take, but the woman offered him a drill press. He didn’t want to take it.
• 5:48 p.m. — A caller said four men beat up the cashier at a Ranchitos liquor establishment, and a Chinese man was swinging a tire iron and hitting vehicles in front of the business. Police on scene didn’t see anyone damaging property, and the cashier didn’t want medical attention or a report.
• 7:11 p.m. — A Quickstop employee said a white Hummer kept parking at a pump, then leaving for another pump and no one was getting out. He called back to cancel the call saying they finally pumped gas.

Friday, April 3
• 4:52 a.m. — A Valley Estates caller said a man got cut with glass during a fight outside a residence. She said she wanted to disconnect the line and didn’t want 911 dispatchers to call her back. Police found no one outside the residence in question and no lights on inside the home. The woman called again saying that a man called her and told her there was a drunk man who didn’t want to leave. She asked to talk to Cpl. Jeff R. Martinez, and when told he was busy with another call, refused to give information to anyone else. The victim with the cut left before police returned to the scene.
• 11:41 a.m. — A Fairview Lane caller said the driver of another car was throwing gang signs and making faces at a Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s vehicle. Officers were advised.
• 5:17 p.m. — A State Road 68 caller said a man on a silver “crotch rocket” was speeding recklessly and forcing other vehicles out of the way. Police talked to the motorcyclist, who said a black car with “wig wag lights” was following him closely through the canyon and he sped up to get away.
• 7:03 p.m. — A caller said a woman was following her through town harassing her and throwing beer bottles at her car. No report was taken.
Shoe Store Heist
Saturday, April 4
• 8:10 a.m. — An Hoy Recovery Center employee said a student showed up to class drunk. He was detoxed.
• 11:33 a.m. — A Shoe Department employee said a woman was caught shoplifting and two members of her group fled the store. Other members of her group still in the store hadn’t stolen anything. Police took a report for shoplifting.
• 4:46 p.m. — A caller said his neighbor’s dog kept killing his dog and attacking another little dog. Police assisted the caller.
Sister Bites
Sunday, April 5
• 12:52 p.m. — A Calle del Rio caller said her sister was attacking her, biting her and accusing her of stealing her phone charger. She said she thought her sister was withdrawing from drugs.
• 2:45 p.m. — A North Orchard Drive caller said her brother is in jail and his girlfriend was blocking her in the driveway. The girlfriend moved her car before police arrived.
• 4:37 p.m. — A caller said she was being harassed by a young boy throwing gang signs and driving fast at her on McCurdy Road. He couldn’t be found.
• 7:37 p.m. — A caller said a man sitting on a wall near Holy Cross Catholic Church was throwing gang signs at passing cars.
