Monday, Dec. 28

    • 12:17 p.m. — An Alcalde woman said a neighbor who inexplicably starts fights all the time was driving around chasing her son in his car.

    • 1:38 p.m. — A man was robbed at gunpoint while he was walking near Vic’s Bar on Christmas Eve, he told police.

    • 2:34 p.m. — An Espanola Middle School employee reported someone in Singapore illegally charged $391 to his credit card. Police said they could take a report, but would not be able to go out to Singapore to investigate further.

    • 8:09 p.m. — A man lent out a trailer to his friend so he could move his car, and the friend drove off with the trailer, he said. Police took a report.

Tuesday, Dec. 29

    • 8:22 a.m. — A man was ringing the doorbell at a Hernandez residence and asking for gas, the owner said.

    • 9:13 a.m. — State Game and Fish officers were called out to Abiquiu, where a woman reported a silver Suburban with an elk in the back.

    • 1:24 p.m. — A woman was detained for trying to shoplift $20 in liquor from Wal-Mart.   

    • 3:50 p.m. — An Ojo Caliente man stole scrap metal and other items from his niece and was trying to sell them in Espanola, she said. The niece agreed not to press charges if her uncle just returned the junk.

    • 6:44 p.m. — A Chamita woman said her teen niece showed up at her house, demanded to used a truck that belonged to her brother, who died four years ago, and was now doing doughnuts in the yard.

    • 6:47 p.m. — Some suspects were trying to sell pills inside the Espanola Family Dollar, staff said.

    • 7:29 p.m. — A man said his wife had escaped and was wanted by Santa Fe police. Dispatchers determined the woman was not wanted by any agency.

Wednesday, Dec. 30

    • 1:09 a.m. — Police responding to reports of a large fight at Las Lomas Apartments spoke to a man who complained he was trying to retrieve his wallet and jacket from an apartment when the homeowner started throwing trash cans at him. Police suggested he come back later, after sobering up.

    • 1:27 a.m. — A man said he had gone to visit his ex-girlfriend on Old Hospital Road, and she broke his phone and hit him. The woman told police her ex-boyfriend had shown up drunk at her house, and she just wanted him to leave.

    • 6:46 p.m. — A man with a bleeding arm had just walked into the bathroom at Center Market, employees reported. Police found he was extremely drunk and wielding an 8-inch blade he had used to cut himself.

    • 6:46 p.m. — A Villa del Norte resident wanted police to remove a man from her porch. She said the man wasn’t doing anything wrong, except he just kept on sitting on her porch and wouldn’t leave.

    • 7:12 p.m. — Ohkay Owingeh Travel Mart staff wanted police to remove a man who tried to steal a bottle of liquor and wouldn’t leave. Police gave him a ride home to Velarde.

Thursday, Dec. 31

    • 3:13 a.m. — Two men were jiggling the doorknobs outside a Calle de Pajarito home before driving off in a green Jeep, the homeowner said.

    • 4:59 a.m. — A caller told dispatchers five people were arguing over liquor on Esparza Lane. The individuals told police they were only having fun in the snow.

    • 8:49 a.m. — A Rio Chama man said his pit bull attacked and killed his pigs, then turned on him.

    • 3:11 p.m. — A woman said a man wearing a hat and glasses pulled a rifle on her. Police found the man did have a .22 caliber rifle, but could not find any victim or evidence that he had committed any crime.

    • 4:20 p.m — A woman was reportedly walking barefoot with a bottle of whiskey behind Angelina’s restaurant.

    • 10:23 p.m. — A McCracken Lane woman called to identify the burglar who has been breaking into her home every night, taking her things and doing witchcraft over her while she is sleeping. Police noted they were worried about her mental health and overall well-being.

Friday, Jan. 1

    • 12:17 a.m. — A Hindi Lane man reported another man was giving him problems and started hitting him for no apparent reason.

    • 1:26 a.m. — A man under the influence of meth may have been battering his grandparents in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, according to a female relative.

    • 6:49 a.m. — A half-dressed man who didn’t know where he was kept knocking on a woman’s doors in Hernandez.

    • 12:02 p.m. — Two men at the Mar Iguana Skate Shop told police someone they know from 11 years ago was following them around.

    • 1:29 p.m. — A woman reported her mother had hit her with a hair brush and was now sending text messages to her boyfriend saying she was stepping out on him and using drugs.

Saturday, Jan. 2

    • 3:47 a.m. — An Orchard Lane man told dispatchers his 58-year-old sister had just shoved him up against the wall. He declined to file charges.

    • 10:05 p.m. — Police were called out to Jackrabbit Trail, where neighbors heard either shots fired or fireworks set off. Officers found a party going on, but no trace of criminal activity.

    • 7:18 a.m. — A Saiz Lane woman said a big, brown, cold-looking hound dog was crying at her door, and she didn’t know what to do with it.

    • 10:05 a.m. — Someone stole a man’s identity and $600 from his Wells Fargo bank account, he told dispatchers. Police took a report.

Sunday, Jan. 3

    • 11:38 a.m.   — An Ojo Caliente caller wanted help kicking out her elderly grandma’s boyfriend, who wouldn’t leave the house.

    • 1:32 p.m. — A man reported his daughter had gone into the Fairview Sonic, where she used to work, and taken some money. 

    • 3:37 p.m. — A man in Velarde said he had seen his neighbor shooting at a dog sometime over the past week.

    • 6:12 p.m. — A North McCurdy Road man said his uncle was trying to attack him, but declined to disclose his location because it would only make things worse.
