Children Mess

Monday, June 1

    • 1:32 a.m. — A Spanish-speaking caller advised there was a bunch of children stealing a sign at the El Paisano store. No report was taken.

    • 4:11 p.m. A North Railroad Avenue caller said two young children were trying to open an electrical box. Police could not find the children.

    • 5:16 p.m. — An Okhay Owingeh Pueblo caller said an intoxicated male was standing by the entrance to the Tsigo Bureh Apartments and was talking with another man. No report was taken.

    • 6:13 p.m. — A man advised he was walking on Rio Arriba County Road 41 with his mother when some individuals in a white Chevrolet Cavalier approached them. The caller ended up getting into a fist fight with the group in the car. He did not want a report taken, but wanted to report the vehicle.

    • 9:20 p.m. — A Corlett Road caller said a male and two younger girls were walking from property to property with flashlights. The youths told police they were just afraid to walk in the dark.

Tuesday, June 2

    • 12:17 a.m. — A man on Hudson Lane said a couple of vehicles parked in front of his house were playing extremely loud music, and only turned it up higher when he complained. Police arrived to find everything quiet.

    • 1:53 a.m. — A woman at Cook’s Trailer Court said her brother was walking around with a rock in his hand when a neighbor pulled a gun on him. She later reported her son was missing. Her relatives told police the son had gone with an aunt, who was sober. The woman was issued a citation and was told to stop calling 911.

    • 12:18 p.m. — A man said a female panhandler outside Lowe’s Home Improvement Store threatened him when she walked past his gold Ford truck. He was worried the panhandler knew which vehicle he drives. He did not want a report filed, but asked police to have a good talk with her.

    • 1:24 p.m. — Two Española Car Wash machines were burglarized, according to 911 dispatch logs.

    • 7:10 p.m. — An RV Mini Mart gas station caller said two males went in and started harassing an employee. The employee told police she had confronted the men about an incident that occurred three nights ago.

    • 9:50 p.m. — An Ojo Caliente caller advised a bear was crossing the road near the Mesa Vista Café and was headed toward a residential area.

Wednesday, June 3

    • 10:43 a.m. — A McCurdy Road caller said someone had dropped off a man who was now going into the bushes by his neighbor’s house.

    • 2:57 p.m. — A man was caught trying to steal fishing lures from Wal-Mart, according to 911 dispatch logs.

    • 4:53 p.m. — A male caller said a man with no shirt had hit another man with a board behind Dandy Burger. Customers and the manager told police nothing had happened.

    • 10:46 p.m. — A man told police his father was drunk and trying to fight him. The caller called police again eight minutes later saying his father had stopped trying to fight him.

    • 10:41 p.m. — A woman asked police to remove a drunk man who was wearing only one shoe and would not leave her alone.

    • 11:31 p.m. — A female caller said a man she filed a restraining order against was following her. She declined to file a report, saying she didn’t want to get him in trouble.

Thursday, June 4

    • 11:59 a.m. — A woman advised she and her daughter were fighting, and requested an officer to remove her from the house.

    • 6:32 p.m. — A caller reported a tenant threatened him with a hammer after he asked him to lower his music.

    • 9:46 p.m. — A man reported he nearly ran over a female hitchhiker near the Dreamcatcher Cinema. He advised she was now sitting on a construction barrel, and he asked police to remove her.

    • 10:34 p.m — A female caller said she heard someone on her roof. She called back five minutes later to cancel the call, after she and her uncle looked on the roof and found no one was there.

Friday, June 5

    • 10:52 a.m. — A female caller reported a drunk man showed up at her house with a bottle of whiskey in his pocket and refused to leave. Police offered him a ride home.

    • 5:08 p.m. — A Roman Drive caller reported the man who cleans her yard may have stolen her Playstation and Nintendo Wii.

    • 7:10 p.m. — A caller asked police to check out a man who was knocking on his door and selling gold chains. Police verified the man was selling jewelry but found nothing suspicious.

    • 10:29 p.m. — A caller reported a man was running around Valdez Park yelling he was being chased by someone driving a white truck who was trying to shoot him, but there was no truck in the vicinity. Police could not find the man.

Saturday, June 6

    • 2:38 a.m. — A female caller reported five underage males were fighting and yelling on Paseo de Paulina. The youths were gone when police arrived.

    • 9:35 a.m. — Okhay Casino employees reported damage to a slot machine and advised the suspect checked into a room at the hotel. No report was taken.

    • 11:59 a.m. — A man reported he had filled several potholes on his private drive the previous day and his neighbor had dug them up. He asked police to investigate.

    • 6:51 p.m. — Two drunk males wearing muscle shirts were seen jumping into traffic and screaming at passing vehicles on Highway 84/285. Police could not locate the suspects.

    • 8:21 p.m. — A Calle Vigil caller reported his neighbors were firing bottle rockets that were popping close to his house. Police asked them to stop.

    • 11:07 p.m. — A caller reported two men in a truck drove into his garage and left, and threatened to shoot out their tires if they returned. Police asked the man not to take matters into his own hands.

    • 11:11 a.m. — A man said he found trash in an acequia and offered to show police an envelope that could help identify the “dumpers.”

    • 1:45 a.m. — An Alcalde woman reported her license plate had been stolen the night before at Club Lumina. Police took a report.

    • 6:33 p.m. — A caller asked police to remove two males who had set up a tent in his grandmother’s yard.

    • 9:36 p.m. — A man reported that a truck with a 500-gallon tank whose driver did not live in the area was pumping water from the ditch. He reported the truck made a big mess on the road.
