    Española Police officers, Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Police, Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s deputies and State Police responded to the following calls:

Medical Emergency Or Glass Jaw?

Monday, March 7

    • 12:32 a.m. — A Carr Lane caller said she could hear people outside trying to open her door.

    • 8:54 a.m. — A La Joya street caller said his caregiver stole his cell phone, $300, change and jewelry. The caller said the suspect smoked something in the house, which made his eyes burn.

    • 8:57 a.m. — A caller from the Henry Valencia car dealership said someone stole tires from a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado the night before.

    • 4:11 p.m. — A Lowe’s Home Improvement caller said he parked his car and it looked like someone shot out his windows.

    • 5:01 p.m. — A Center Market caller said two men were panhandling and one of them swung at him with a knife. Police arrested one person.

    • 5:19 p.m. — A Lowe’s Supersave caller said some people were walking through the parking lot, asking for money and they were getting aggressive with people when they said no.

    • 5:50 p.m. — A Lucero Center caller reported a 12-year-old boy was boxing and fainted.

Tuesday, March 8

    • 12:17 a.m. — An East Jonathon Drive caller said an intoxicated man was threatening to choke her.

    • 9:36 a.m. — A Corlett Road caller said her boyfriend was trying to stab her because he did not want her talking on the phone.

    • 9:49 a.m. — A Wal-Mart caller said a female shoplifter ran out of the store with several women’s undergarments.

    • 10:25 a.m. — A woman said she left her purse in the car at Allsup’s and someone stole her prescription pills from the purse.

    • 11:15 a.m. — A Paseo de Oñate caller reported a man in a trench coat and a bookbag who appeared to be drunk. The police spoke to the man who said he wasn’t drunk but was just having trouble with his equilibrium.

    • 2:27 p.m. — A San Pedro Shell station caller said a man was drunk and harassing customers for money.

    • 4:09 p.m. — A Valdez Bridge caller said she saw a fight in which one man knocked another man down.

    • 6:22 p.m. — A San Pedro Shell caller called back and said there were three other panhandlers who refused to leave.

    • 9:47 p.m. — A Casitas de San Pedro caller said a man was parked in front of her home. The man talked to her husband, saying he knows the caller’s brother was trying to steal from him. The man said if he catches the brother doing it, he was going to shoot him and shoot at their house.

Wednesday, March 9

    • 2:39 a.m. — A Milagro Mobile Home Park caller said when he coughed it felt like a water balloon burst in his chest.

    • 11:09 a.m. — A County Road 178 caller said her boyfriend was pushing her around and punching her. She said she didn’t want him arrested, she just wanted the police to scare him.

    • 12:07 p.m. — A Calle Don Leandro caller said a mentally challenged person was abusing her mother, who the caller said was unable to protect herself.

    • 1:45 p.m. — A Private Drive 1089 caller said she put a speed bump on her easement and her neighbor took it down.

    • 3:01 p.m. — A Camino Robado caller said a man, who was addicted to Lorazapam, Suboxone and cocaine and was acting highly paranoid.

    • 4:21 p.m. — A Highway 84/285 caller said a man was walking on the cement barrier near the animal clinic.

    • 4:49 p.m. — A Calle Chamisal caller said a patient had a large skin tear on her left hand from her middle finger to her wrist and the woman’s tendons were visible.

    • 8:11 p.m. — A Corlett Road caller said her mother got a call that someone was going to come over to her house to shoot her.

Itchy Trigger Finger For Intruder

Thursday, March 10

    • 9:54 a.m. — A County Road 43 caller said his wife wouldn’t give his son the car and he started threatening to break things. Police notified the son’s probation officer about the incident.

    • 10:14 a.m. — A Blue Spruce Bar caller said someone broke the bar’s door. The caller said she was afraid her husband would pull a gun out on the suspect. Deputies transported one person to jail.

    • 10:40 a.m. — A County Road 43 caller said her son told her he and his friends were going to fight her husband when he came home for lunch. The woman said her son was breaking things in the home, threw a broom at her and started hitting her.

    • 2:32 p.m. — A Fairview Lane caller said a man jumped out of a car and was bleeding. The man was crawling to the bridge. The man was drunk and police could not understand what he was saying. The man went to the hospital in an ambulance.

    • 10:28 p.m. — A County Road 94 caller said a 7-year-old was bleeding from her nose and was choking on the blood. The caller said the girl was fighting with her sister and her nose bleeds when she cries. The caller said the bleeding was slowing down.

Drunk Hates Puppies

Friday, March 11

    • 12:20 a.m. — There was a call from Thorton Lane during which dispatchers could hear a man screaming, “I can’t do this any more.” A woman said she was just fighting over the phone with a man. Police went to the home and found a woman who was beaten up.

    • 1:17 p.m. — A Paseo de Oñate caller said she wanted an officer to check on her boyfriend because he told her he was going to take some drugs to kill himself.

    • 2:39 p.m. — A Chama Valley Car Wash caller said a man was on the ground possibly having a seizure. The man sat up, got in a vehicle and drove away.

    • 9:08 p.m. — A Camino del Sol caller said his step-son was intoxicated and threatening to kill him.

    • 9:13 p.m. — An Avenida Canada caller said a suspicious man was checking out a house, walking around the outside of it and pulling on the windows and doors. The caller said the homeowner was not home. The caller said the man was hiding from him.

    • 11:26 p.m. — A State Road 111 caller said her drunk boyfriend was threatening to stab her and was sticking the knife into a box with puppies in it.

Adults Steal Girl’s Bike

Saturday, March 12

    • 7:30 a.m. — A County Road 189 woman called dispatch crying and panting on the phone before she hung up. Deputies could not make contact with the caller.

    • 1:18 p.m. — The owner of the Mar-Iguana Skate shop told dispatch he was being harassed by a woman driving a Jaguar.

    • 3:33 p.m. — A Highway 64 caller said he was driving south from Chama and a man was following him. He said the same thing happened in Colorado. The suspect turned around and left before police arrived.

    • 4:45 p.m. — A County Road 59 caller said people in a pickup truck stole her daughter’s bike. The caller said the people in the truck were stealing other things in the area.

    • 4:59 p.m. — People driving on Highway 84/285 said someone in another vehicle flashed a gun at them and told them to pull over.

    • 8:37 p.m. — A Calle de Pajarito caller reported a large fight. The caller said two people walked inside a house and they were yelling and breaking things. The suspects ran away from the home.

Sunday, March 13

    • 5:31 a.m. — An East Bond Street caller said her cousin and his girlfriend were standing outside of her house throwing rocks at the window. The caller said she thought the man was either drunk or on drugs.

    • 10:53 a.m. — A Calle Adrian caller complained that three cats were living in his well.

    • 12 p.m. — A North Riverside Drive Kentucky Fried Chicken caller said there was the smell of smoke inside the business. An appliance was the source of the smoke.

    • 12:24 p.m. — A Crown Liquors caller said a man in a car pulled up and pulled a gun out on someone in another car. The caller said she hid when she saw the gun.

    • 1:20 p.m. — A Private Drive 1547B caller said a man told her husband there was a group of men on their way to their home to “take them out.”

    • 3:30 p.m. — A West Bond Street caller said a man with a tattoo on his neck was going around to homes with a donation jar with a picture of a toddler on it. The man said the child was dead and he needed money. The caller thought this was suspicious.
