Crazy Grandma
Monday, March 2
• 8:56 a.m. — An Española Middle School employee said a student threatened one of the special education teachers. If another teacher hadn’t intervened, he would have hit him, the caller said. No report was taken.
• 11:34 a.m. — A Calle Serrano caller said she and her grandmother got in an argument, and now her grandmother pushed her out of the way and was going crazy. No report was taken.
• 1:47 p.m. — The owner of Arlo’s Fruit Stand said she received a call from someone who was passing by the business and saw men passed out in front. They couldn’t be found.
• 6:53 p.m. — A caller said a man she has a restraining order against went to her son’s karate class. Police took a report for violation of a restraining order.
Sexy Prank Call
Tuesday, March 3
• 10:37 a.m. — A caller said the driver of a Dodge Dakota on Highway 84/285 tried to run her off the road and threw a can at her car. Police took a report for reckless driving.
• 11:43 a.m. — A Northern New Mexico College employee said a secretary received a dirty prank call. No report was taken.
• 12:36 p.m. — A County Road 56A caller said some of her ex-tenants returned to her property to retrieve some items and were wielding sticks and boards. No report was taken.
• 4:35 p.m. — A Las Lomas Apartments caller said a woman was trying to get the federal Immigration and Naturalization Services to pick up him and his family. He said the woman was going through a divorce and blamed it on the caller. She kept calling him though he was no longer dating her and wanted nothing to do with her. Police advised the woman to leave the man alone.
• 4:59 p.m. — An Angel Duran Drive caller said her neighbor threw some oil on the road.
• 5:16 p.m. — A Santo Niño Mobile Home Park caller said a child was acting like a gangster. Officers were advised.
• 7:47 p.m. — An Ohkay Casino employee said a customer stole a payment voucher slip from another customer.

Wednesday, March 4
• 9:40 a.m. — A North Central Regional Transit District driver said some juveniles hit his van with mud clods, and he needed a police report before he sent it in for maintenance.
• 1:23 p.m. — A Motel 6 caller said someone stole the $400 deposit from the previous day. Police took a report for embezzlement.
• 5:08 p.m. — A caller said he was at Wal-Mart and his brother, who works there, was on drugs and wanted to fight him. Police advised the suspect to stay away from his brother.
• 8:31 p.m. — A Hernandez caller said a man hid her work badge so she couldn’t go to work. He also threw pizza in her face and was laughing about it, she said. Police weren’t able to make contact with the caller.

Thursday, March 5
• 11:33 a.m. — A County Road 41 caller said a gray truck was parked in her yard. When she approached the truck, the driver acted suspicious and said he was just enjoying the scenery, the caller said. After she told him to leave, he moved up the road. Police couldn’t find him.
• 3:40 p.m. — A caller said he witnessed an older man on North Riverside give alcohol to a younger man driving a red car. Police couldn’t find them.
• 4:40 p.m. — A Lowe’s Home Improvement employee said another staff member was passing merchandise through without scanning it. Police took a report for embezzlement.
• 8:36 p.m. — A Wal-Mart customer said she had $480 taken from her purse while she was in line and thought the thief could be her daughter. Police took a report for larceny.

Friday, March 6
• 12:00 p.m. — A caller said a refrigerator fell off a vehicle that was driving on Railroad Avenue near Angelina’s restaurant. The call was transferred to another agency.
• 2:49 p.m. — A County Road 107 caller requested to have five of her daughter’s friends removed from her property. She said they were trying to change a tire. No report was wanted.
• 4:42 p.m. — A Calle Rodrigo caller said some people were harassing him. He said his brother owed them money, and if they didn’t get it, they were going to damage his stuff. No report was wanted.
• 8:18 p.m. — A Big Rock Casino security employee said a man took his girlfriend’s car keys and was hiding in the bushes by Century Bank. Then he got into a dually and left the parking lot at a high rate of speed. The woman didn’t want to press charges.
‘Pothead’ Pressured To Steal from Mom
Saturday, March 7
• 8:34 a.m. — A County Road 101 caller said her husband threatened her with an axe and was in the garage hiding her tools. The call was transferred to another agency.
• 5:10 p.m. — A China Kitchen caller said a chubby male punched one of the employees. The caller said the man was leaving, and they were afraid he would punch someone else. Police who were at the restaurant during the alleged incident said the man didn’t punch anyone.
• 6:45 p.m. — A State Road 233 caller said his girlfriend was beating him because he was supposed to ask his mother for money but didn’t. He told the police his girlfriend was mad because she needed a fix, and wanted him to steal money from his mother’s piggy bank. 911 dispatchers could hear the woman in the background telling the caller he was irresponsible, good for nothing and nothing but a pothead. The man left and no report was taken.

Sunday, March 8
• 12:36 p.m. — A caller claiming to be the McCurdy School athletic director requested that a group be told the baseball field is private and be removed from it. 911 dispatchers determined it was a bogus call.
• 8:37 p.m. — A Pine Street caller said some drunk people were outside banging on her door and wouldn’t leave. One woman was detoxed.
• 9:25 p.m. — A Lower San Pedro Road caller said a woman at her house picked up a boot and tried to hit her with it. Later she found three of her car tires punctured. Police took a report for criminal damage.
• 9:48 p.m. — A Cedar Loop caller said her neighbors kept trying to take her dog by pulling it over the fence.
