Voting ends at 2 p.m. on Tuesday

Emma Maestas, Escalante Volleyball

The senior setter has continued leading the Lady Lobos, now 16-2 on the season, with three strong wins over the last week, including beating a tough team from Sanford, Colo. Against McCurdy, Maestas led the team with 22 assists in three sets, and added four kills while trying her hand at outside hitter.

Casey Nevarez, McCurdy Football

McCurdy finished the year with their fourth win, doubling their total from a year ago as they rebuild the program after years off the field. On the road at Laguna-Acoma, an improved team with a strong season, Nevarez provided a pair of touchdowns at running back, leading the team to victory.

Victor Parra, Española Football

The Sundevils’ sophomore wide receiver and kicker was low on the depth chart to start the year, but has proven to be a great asset with game-changing speed. He had his biggest game yet, twice breaking the defense for long touchdowns and totaling 113 yards. He has also helped in field position as kickoff and punter, and has kicked extra points at times earlier in the season.

Kaylee Salazar, Pojoaque Volleyball

The senior libero finally had the chance to play varsity, and has made the most of the opportunity as a big part of Pojoaque’s strong season. Her defense helped lead the Elkettes to two more victories, and a 5-0 district mark, with a big win over Los Alamos, and 16 digs against Taos.
