NMOT Sports Returns
Right at the height of fall sports, a social media hub for New Mexico high school sports disappeared, then reappeared.
The “NMOT Sports” Facebook page was apparently hacked, and had to be replaced and started almost from scratch.
West Las Vegas Athletic Director Richard Tripp faithfully operates the page and has done so for years with the help of an active moderating team. Administrators, coaches, parents, students and fans post scores of games, live updates, and pictures. The page is also the home for Coaches Polls for football, volleyball and boys and girls basketball.
A new page was created on Nov. 16 as a replacement with a new page logo, and is private to join.
By Monday, the newpage already had over 1,000 members. Many active contributors from the old page were already actively posting updates and pictures.
