The North Central Regional Transit District has added five new vehicles to its fleet of blue buses.
Two 40-passenger coaches and three 32-passenger coaches arrived Jan. 26 in Española. The two larger buses will be placed in service between Questa and Taos and on the Española-to-Santa Fe route, which provides service to the Rail Runner commuter train.
One of the new 32-passenger buses will serve the Peñasco-to-Taos route. The remaining two will be placed on other routes.
The District used 2008 state capital-outlay funds to purchase the vehicles.

In observance of Easter Sunday, the Nambe, Jacona, Tesuque, La Cienega, San Marcos, Eldorado and Stanley transfer stations will be closed April 12.
