The Española Rotary Club invites the public to hear Dr. Eric Blinman, director of the state Office of Archaeological Studies, speak about the history of Los Luceros and future plans for the property.
The free event will be held June 16 at 11:50 a.m. at the Fairview Café.
Los Luceros is a historical property that features one of the most complete 19th century haciendas in Northern New Mexico. The land was purchased by the state in 2008. Plans call for movie star Robert Redford to open a New Mexico branch of the Sundance Institute at Los Luceros.

A public meeting to discuss the state water plan is scheduled for Wednesday (6/3) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rural Events Center in Abiquiú.
The meeting is being held to gather input for the an update of the state’s first state water plan.
