Two write-in candidates filed Dec. 19 for two seats on the Dulce School Board.
One will seek Vice President Steve Cata’s seat, which no one filed to fill Dec. 16, and another wants to give long-time Board member and current president David Montoya a run for his money.
No one filed Dec. 16 to appear on the ballot as Dulce’s Position 2 candidate. Cata did not file for re-election. Merton Sandoval filed for that position and is currently running unopposed.
Keva Leann Vicenti filed against Montoya. Vicenti, then an 18-year-old Dulce High School senior, ran an unsuccessful campaign in 2005 against member Joanna Dykehouse, who was re-elected in 2007.
Neither Sandoval nor Vicenti could be reached for comment.
