Elderly Pothead
Monday, Oct. 27
• 2:45 p.m. — A Jonathan Drive caller said her trash can was graffitied and her back door was torn off. A report was taken for criminal damage.
• 7:10 p.m. — A caller said people in a purple Honda at F and A Zip Car Wash might be doing drugs. One man was arrested for drug possession.
• 8:12 p.m. — A Star Lane caller said harassing messages were spray-painted on her driveway. Police took a report.
• 8:14 p.m. — A caller said she couldn’t get to the Wells Fargo ATM because a group of teenagers were hanging out near the machine. They were gone when police arrived.
• 8:38 p.m. — A caller said his girlfriend was standing in the entrance to Calle Melendez and harassing him after having a couple of beers. She couldn’t be located.
• 9:19 p.m. — A caller said five teenagers and an elderly man were smoking pot on Hindi Lane. They couldn’t be found.
Neighbor Shoots Man’s Best Friend
Tuesday, Oct. 28
• 10:05 a.m. — A San Juan Elementary School staff member said a man who came to pick up his children may have been on drugs. The father was determined to be fine and the children were released to him.
• 10:55 a.m. — An Española Military Academy staff member said marijuana and a pipe were found in a student’s car. A report was taken for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
• 11:16 a.m. — A walk-in caller said his neighbor shot his dog. He said his neighbor previously shot at him and his dog but missed. No report was taken.
• 11:24 a.m. — A Rio Arriba County Road 135 caller said someone was using his identification to buy prescription drugs. No report was taken.
• 2:20 p.m. — A Walgreens employee said a large group of people were arguing north of the building, and a woman stole a coffee pot. Police talked to people in the suspects’ van, who were upset at being suspected of shoplifting. The coffee pot wasn’t found.
• 5:13 p.m. — A caller went to the Juvenile Probation Office to report people were threatening her. Her grandson was in rehab and his friends still thought they have a right to hang out at her house and graffiti it. Police supplemented a previous report on the problem.

Wednesday, Oct. 29
• 1:35 a.m. — A Victoria Drive caller said he wanted a divorce and to leave his house. Police found that both he and his wife were drunk and he just wanted a ride to a friend’s house, which he got.
• 9:10 a.m. — A Las Lomas Apartments caller said someone took her briefcase, which contained $700. Police took a report for larceny.
• 1:04 p.m. — A Velarde caller said he caught some people attempting to gain entry into his sister’s house, including one man walking around with a hammer. No report was wanted.
• 2:42 p.m. — A Hernandez caller said some men were at her door trying to fight with her boyfriend. When dispatchers asked for her phone number, she hung up. The woman’s boyfriend didn’t want to make a report.
• 5:02 p.m. — A Boneyard Road caller said he was fighting with his 40-year-old son, who he believed was coming off drugs. No report was taken.
• 6:00 p.m. — An Abiquiú Library employee said a woman had destroyed the bathroom and was banned from the library. A report was taken for criminal damage.
Flashing for Years
Thursday. Oct. 30
• 5:35 a.m. — A State Road 68 caller said a man was following her in a truck and had been stalking her and flashing her for at least a couple of years. She called back to say he followed her home and when her husband confronted him he admitted to following her. A report was taken for harassment.
• 12:50 a.m. — A State Road 76 caller said someone opened a cell phone account using his identifying information.
• 1:35 p.m. — An Española Hospital caller said some irate people drove off in a reckless manner, appeared to be intoxicated and had lots of trash in the back of their truck. They weren’t found.
• 2:33 p.m. — A woman made a walk-in complaint that a veterinarian she took her dog to is not licensed. She had also hired him to do the hooves on her donkey and wrote him a check, but he never returned the donkey. She was advised how to proceed.
• 3:03 p.m. — A State Road 68 caller said people in a purple Grand Am were throwing cans at a black Chevy truck and both vehicles were swerving all over the road. Officers were advised.
• 4:16 p.m. — A Calle don Roberto caller said his girlfriend threatened to slash his tires and break his windows. The call was transferred to another agency.
• 6:08 p.m. — A South McCurdy Road caller said someone broke into his shed and took almost everything he had in there. Police took a report for burglary.

Friday, Oct. 31
• 2:09 p.m. — An El Guique caller said a man threw candies at her face and broke her car windows. The man said she broke his window and he threw the candies to the floor, not at her. They were advised to get restraining orders.
• 6:14 p.m. — A Club Tropicana employee said a woman was urinating in front of the public. She was found to be extremely drunk, but no criminal activity was found.
• 7:00 p.m. — A caller said a man was vomiting off the side of the San Juan Bridge. He was taken home.

Samurai Sword
Saturday, Nov. 1
• 12:55 a.m. — A Camino Arbolero caller said a drunk man was causing problems and might have a samurai sword in his van. No report was taken.
• 9:59 a.m. — A County Road 87 caller said someone on a tractor was plowing his land without his permission, and he wanted him removed before he hurt someone. The caller was gone when police arrived, but the alleged trespasser said he had the land surveyed and it is his.
• 12:02 p.m. — A caller said people at the Santa Cruz cemetery wanted to fight him, and he is elderly and did not provoke them. Police were advised to be on the lookout for the culprits.
• 8:00 p.m. — A Pizza Hut employee said a customer told him he wanted to “stick my ass,” meaning stab him. “Didn’t say when he was going to stick the reporting party’s ass,” dispatchers noted in logs. The alleged harasser told police he didn’t know what the employee was talking about, adding he never received pizzas or anything.

Sunday, Nov. 2
• 3:07 a.m. — A caller said a man carrying a beer was walking the wrong way on State Road 68. He was given a ride home.
• 8:46 p.m. — A Burger King employee said someone tagged the manager’s car and stuck knives in the tires. Police took a report.
• 10:19 p.m. — A Fairview Sonic caller said a bunch of people in a black Jetta were acting stupid. Officers were advised.
