Thank you again for uncovering the bottom line on so much of what affects us locally.
Your editorial concerning the construction on U.S. Highway 84/285 was a great synopsis of what many of us think. But to say, “the public doesn’t care,” does not quite ring true. Many of us have attended the highway department meetings for years and for what? Evidently to be given a line of bull.
What should we do, Mr. Trapp? We’re not politicians or pueblos. You know what happened with the cell tower in Arroyo Seco, even with a lawsuit. Perhaps the highway department should save our money on all the meetings, public hearing, studies, maps, fancy architects and engineers and next time just start with the pueblos and politicians. At this point all I can think of is to remember the next time I am in the voting booth, or I go out to eat, or to a casino.
I do care. I am upset, but feel powerless and duped again.

(Editor’s note: Our apologies. A lot of Arroyo Seco and La Puebla residents attended many useless meetings and let their desires and traffic fears known. Our target was the Valley population at large.)
