The Wildlife Center is hosting a series of monthly programs on topics ranging from specific birds of prey, wildlife photography, wildlife and human diseases, raptor identification and bear awareness.

The first program, “Isle of the Falcon,” presented by Tom Smylie is scheduled for Thursday (3/19) at 7 p.m.

The program is about Smylie’s 15-year study of the peregrine falcon and other raptors on an island in the Dry Tortugas between Florida and Cuba, as they migrate to South America. Smylie has studied peregrine falcons for over 40 years.

The program will be held at the Center in Arroyo Seco. There will be a suggested donation of $10.
