Intersection Sends Hwy. Department Back to the Drawing Board

(SUNfoto by Lou Mattei) Highway Department Project Engineer Armando Armendariz presented Oct. 28 the Department’s latest plans for a proposed interchange near mile marker 183 on Highway 84/285. The latest proposal calls for a four-way traffic signal to regulate traffic at the intersection instead of an overpass that entered Department designs in 2008. Both plans require the Department to purchase land from Pojoaque Pueblo, which had not happened as of Tuesday.
