Young Elkettes Place Third in Medley Relay

(SUNfoto by Andrew Martinez) Pojoaque Valley High School Elkettes freshman Star Torres sprints toward the finish line in the final leg of the 800-meter relay preliminary first heat in the Class 4A-6A State Meet, May 13, at the University of New Mexico Track-Soccer Complex. The 800-meter relay team of freshmen Haley Perez, Taylor Roybal, Torres and sophomore Mariah Naranjo did not qualify for the finals, finishing the relay in 1:54.04.
