Marie T. Bonilla, age 65, a resident of Gardena, California for the last 45 years and formerly of Medanales, NM, passed away unexpectedly on November 1st, 2008 in Gardena, California. Marie was born on July 2nd 1943 to the late Romolo and Viviana Vigil of Medanales, NM. She was also preceded in death by her sister Bertha Negrete, brother Josue Vigil, nephews Levi and Moises Martinez and niece Joyce Vigil.
Marie was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother and sister whose faith in God was ceaseless. Marie is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Salvador Bonilla of Gardena, California, her son Joel Allison of Española, NM, daughter Valorie Allison of Hernandez, NM and grandchildren Matthew Allison and Nikkileigh Allison. Marie is also survived by her brother Jose (Larry) Vigil of Medanales. Sisters Simmie and husband Fermin Martinez of Rio Rancho, Eva Garcia of Hernandez, Helen and husband Mike Montoya of Canyon Lake, California, Sarah and husband Richard Edwards of Albuquerque and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Cremation took place on November 5th in Redondo Beach California overlooking the ocean, and a beautiful service of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2pm Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Templo Zion Assembly of God Cemetery in Hernandez, NM.
