Horse Hauled
Monday, July 12
• 1:35 a.m. — A Canada Court caller said a car was driving up and down the street and stopping next to other cars. The caller didn’t know why the driver of the car was doing this.
• 8:25 a.m. — A State Road 96 caller said someone broke the fence and lock to a trailer parked at a Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative substation and stole copper wire, generators, a compactor and other items.
• 11:08 a.m. — Two shoplifters at Walmart stole a computer laptop out of a display case and a Guitar Hero video game.
• 11:16 a.m. — The locks were ripped out of the door of Toby’s Sports. The caller was not sure if anything was missing.
• 1:37 p.m. — A car parked at the Wells Fargo Bank was keyed, according to 911 dispatch logs.
• 3:04 p.m. — A caller said a horse was being pulled by an old maroon SUV, and it looked like the vehicle was going too fast.
• 4:31 p.m. — A man was making threatening comments to people at El Centro Family Health, saying that if he didn’t get what he wanted he would come back and “shoot every (expletive) person in that place,” a caller reported.
• 7:12 p.m. — A North Railroad Avenue caller said drunk adults with a child were about to get in a car and leave Angelina’s Restaurant.
• 7:24 p.m. — A Highway 285 caller told a 911 dispatcher that he would be testing fireworks for the next hour.

Tuesday, July 13
• 1:27 a.m. — A Cook’s Mobile Home Park caller said her husband had a flashlight in his hand and was about to hit her because she would not give him his keys or his wallet.
• 2:49 a.m. — An Española woman sent a California relative a text message stating she wanted to kill herself, according to dispatch logs.
• 6:27 a.m. — A caller said his wife called him to say a man with a backpack was acting suspiciously.
• 7:35 a.m. — An OC Fuel Stop caller said someone broke the window to his business the night before and tried stealing items through the iron security bars. The caller said several quarts of oil and possibly cat food were missing.
• 8:39 a.m. — A Calle Don Leandro woman had not been seen by her family for three days, although they could hear music playing at her home, according to dispatch logs. Emergency call logs state someone was taken for a psychological evaluation.
• 9:14 a.m. — A white Dodge Nitro was stolen on La Joya Street, logs state. A dog, which was inside the vehicle, was found on Calle Cielito Lindo.
• 12:30 p.m. — An ambulance on El Llano Road met with a marine who told 911 dispatch he has post-traumatic stress disorder and he felt like hurting himself and others. The marine walked to meet the ambulance because he was afraid of getting evicted.
• 5:30 p.m. — An Ash Loop caller said he came home and saw people running from his back door. He said his television had been stolen.
• 5:37 p.m. — A North Riverside Drive caller said an 11-year-old and a 10-year-old were left inside a car by themselves.
• 10:32 p.m. — An Ash Loop caller said there were males throwing rocks at his house. He called back later to say his water pump, extension cord and lawn mower had been stolen by the men, and that one of the men was receiving oral sex. Española Police asked for an ambulance, saying the caller was hallucinating. The man then jumped over a neighbor’s fence because he said someone was chasing him with a gun. The officer said he did not see anything.

Wednesday, July 14
• 7:39 a.m. — An Española School District employee said gas was stolen from several school vehicles.
• 8:32 a.m. — A Center Market caller said a man who had been caught shoplifting tried to fight store employees.
• 8:32 a.m. — An Old Hospital Road caller said someone tried running him off the road. He hit a curb and blew out a tire.
• 11:47 a.m. — A Walgreens caller said a female pulled a knife on a male with whom she was fighting.
• 4:15 p.m. — A Walgreens caller said she came outside and found the rear window to her car had been broken.
• 8:48 p.m. — Two people stole movies from Walmart, then left for Taco Bell, a caller reported.

Thursday, July 15
• 12:31 a.m. — A State Road 110 caller said his ex-wife was coming with other people to beat him up. State Police told the man to lock himself inside his vehicle until they arrived.
• 2:37 a.m. — An El Llano Road caller saw a bear cross the street and go into an orchard.
• 3:40 p.m. — Animal Control found a stray chicken on North Riverside Drive.
• 4:58 p.m. — A Calle Suazo caller said a pit bull was sitting on his front porch, and he could not get it to leave.
• 5:20 p.m. — A Las Lomas Apartments caller said a man grabbed her and asked her whether she wanted to go back to his apartment and do drugs with him.
• 7:38 p.m. — A P & L Grocery caller said someone beat up one of his employees.
• 8:54 p.m. — A Maple Avenue caller told dispatchers a man was fighting with his mother and that if the man did not leave he was going to shoot him.
• 9:07 p.m. — A Private Drive 1798 caller said someone was firing a semi-automatic weapon into the air.

• 12:24 a.m. — A gold Chevrolet Blazer was stolen from the Fairview Sonic and later was found abandoned at the Santa Clara Apartments.
• 2:33 a.m. — A Calle Elena caller said her 16-year-old daughter was drunk and being belligerent.
• 7:23 a.m. — A man stole a gun from Walmart, logs state.
• 12 p.m. — A man stole two fishing rods from Walmart and left toward Taco Bell, a caller reported. A Public Safety aide returned the poles to the store.
• 1:12 p.m. — A Santa Clara Bridge Road caller said he drank an entire bottle of rubbing alcohol and started throwing up blood.
• 10 p.m. — A Paseo de Paulina caller said her friend was drunk, “going crazy and throwing things at her.

• 12:07 a.m. — A Red’s Steak House caller said she saw someone selling drugs out of a car.
• 1:50 a.m. — A Meadow Lane caller said two shirtless teenagers were running around and throwing things at her home.
• 9:47 a.m. — A Private Drive 1791 caller said his three dogs were poisoned. Two dogs were dead and the third was barely alive.
• 11:18 a.m. — A Wells Fargo Bank caller said a man in a Jeep would not move out of her way and was staring her down.
• 6:53 p.m. — A Highway 84 caller saw a black bull walking in the middle of the road.

• 10:59 a.m. — A Ricardo Lane caller told police he was beaten the night before by four men who gave him a bag of cocaine to sell. They were angry that he did not pay them.
• 2:11 p.m. — A County Road 142 caller said a woman was throwing bottles at her house and accusing her son of planting marijuana on her land.
• 4:33 p.m. — A McDonald’s caller complained that a woman was shooting up inside their bathroom and everything from her purse was dumped on the floor.
• 7:48 p.m. — Shoplifters at Walmart tried to conceal jewelry inside a fish tank box, logs state.
• 10:11 p.m. — A Timber Ridge Drive caller said a bear was in a tree near a home.
