Beat-Down for Two
Monday, Nov. 29
• 12:09 a.m. — Two Wal-Mart employees were interviewed for an embezzlement case, in which they were accused of stealing more than $900 from the store.
• 7:25 a.m. — A City Compound caller said a window to a city vehicle was broken out.
• 8:05 a.m. — A Rio Arriba County Senior Center caller said the windows to the building were broken out.
• 8:05 a.m. — A State Road 74 caller said she was four months pregnant and someone just punched her in the head.
• 11:51 a.m. — A County Road 42 caller said she found a bullet hole in her headboard.
• 2:25 p.m. — A Calle Del Rio caller thought her father’s girlfriend drugged her father. Emergency dispatch learned later the father was just intoxicated.
• 5:11 p.m. — A Valley Superette caller said a woman was intoxicated and passed out next to the trash bins. One woman was taken by police for detoxification.
• 6:53 p.m. — A County Road 41 caller said her son had hit her, but was then in his room calling her names. The son then complained that police battered him. A Sheriff’s deputy said this was because the man was “squaring off” against an officer, who told him to “back off.” The logs said this did not turn physical.
• 11:49 p.m. — A Spruce Street caller said a woman he had been dating for two weeks was drunk and would not leave. The woman was trying to hit the man and the line disconnected. Police asked for an ambulance to treat a bite mark someone had on their arm and a woman requested an ambulance to check her leg, which she thought was broken.

Tuesday, Nov. 30
• 1:21 a.m. — A Glenwood Avenue caller was “screaming about her Honda,” but the line disconnected and Dispatch could not reach anyone on a call back.
• 4:27 a.m. — A Camino Cielo Grande caller said she could hear someone in her yard and someone trying to get under her trailer. She thought it was the dog but the dog was asleep, she said.
• 11:10 a.m. — An Española Northern New Mexico College caller said she saw a man with a gun “following a guy.” Police could not find anything suspicious.
• 11:54 a.m. — A Walgreen’s caller said a suspected shoplifter, who was bleeding from the head, was in custody in a back room.
• 2:30 p.m. — A caller from Peacekeepers said she was missing $278 from her purse and she confronted everyone in the office and they all denied taking it.
• 3:07 p.m. — An Española Northern caller said he received a call from someone saying he was watching them and he was going to blow him up.
• 6:38 p.m.— A Calle Jose Pablo caller said her house was broken into and a TV, a rifle and a DVD player were missing.

Wednesday, Dec. 1
• 9:08 a.m. — Emergency workers reported a dog running on the Española Northern campus during a bomb threat investigation.
• 10:16 a.m. An Ohkay Travel Center caller complained about “local drunks” harassing people.
• 11:35 a.m. — An Española Middle School caller reported that a student hit a school guard.
• 12:43 p.m. — A Private Drive 1601 caller said his sister was choking on a tortilla and he could not give the Heimlich maneuver because she was pregnant. The woman was later said to be lying on a bed and okay.
• 4:50 p.m. — An Upper San Pedro Road caller said people broke into her home and stole her Christmas presents along with some electronics.
• 4:52 p.m. — A McCurdy School caller said a pit bull got into a fight with her dog and was walking behind the school. The dog was next seen running away with a chicken.

Thursday, Dec. 2
• 9:47 a.m. — A Santa Clara Apartments caller said there was a fight between two people in the lobby. One of them shoved the other to the floor. They were fighting over the titles to vehicles, according to Dispatch logs.
• 10:23 a.m. — A South Coronado Avenue caller said her boyfriend was drinking and got into a fight with a man, and then five men tried to break into the residence. She said one was armed with a knife and another was possibly armed with a gun. Police found only one man, who was drunk.
• 12:32 p.m. — An Española Valley High School caller said there was a gang fight in the main office.
• 1:45 p.m. — A Calle Borrego caller said someone broke into her house and stole jewelry.
• 1:58 p.m. — An RTD bus was broken into at the City Compound and a flat-screen television was missing.
• 2:13 p.m. — An Española School District caller said a student was threatening to throw a rock at a principal and have his friends “do a drive-by.”
• 5:24 p.m. — A Private Drive 1544 caller reported hearing more than 100 shots fired from a pistol near an old bar.
• 5:40 p.m. — A Subway caller said an intoxicated woman was telling customers at Subway she was going to kill them. The woman was acting like she had a weapon.
Afternoon in the Park
Friday, Dec. 3
• 9:45 a.m. — A Fairview Post Office caller said someone set a trash can on fire earlier that morning.
• 10:30 a.m. — A Bonecutter Lane caller said a man came into a residence and started “hitting everybody” then left. The man came back and started arguing with her fiancé.
• 2:54 p.m. — A Las Lomas Apartments caller complained of four people behind a building doing drugs. The people were dispersed but the call log does not mention whether the police found any drugs.
• 3:29 p.m. — An Una Ala Clinic caller said a man pulled a gun on him at the methadone clinic, but he did not make a report.
• 3:36 p.m. — A Valdez Park caller said one man was passed out on the RTD bench and another person was sitting beside him, vomiting.
• 6:28 p.m. — A Wal-Mart caller said there was a drunk man in the oil department who said he wanted to kill himself.
• 9:17 p.m. — A Las Lomas Apartments caller said a man went into an apartment and put a gun to a woman’s head and mouth. Police stated the woman was uncooperative and she did not want to get her boyfriend in trouble.

Saturday, Dec. 4
• 9:15 a.m. — A State Road 233 caller said someone shot his goat twice, but it was still alive.
• 11:13 a.m. — A man said he was at Red’s Steak House the night before and his friend, who was “strung out” on cocaine, beat him up and took his cell phone.
• 11:14 a.m. — An Avenida Canada caller said a man was running toward El Llano Road with a rifle tucked in his pants.
• 12:50 p.m. — An Allsup’s caller said someone smeared feces on the pay phone and set it on fire. The officer told the caller he could not clean it up for her.
• 2:26 p.m. — A Lowe’s Supersave caller complained about a full-sized van parked in the lot with people she thought were dealing drugs.
• 7:42 p.m. — A South Coronado Avenue caller said her husband’s cousin was drunk and yelling bad words. She called back later, telling Dispatch to never mind because the man fell asleep.
• 7:46 p.m. — A China Kitchen caller said someone was going crazy and shooting a gun behind the business.

• 11:05 a.m. — A West Pueblo Street caller said someone knocked on her door trying to sell jewelry. The caller thought this was a hoax and the person was just casing houses for robberies.
• 5:25 p.m. — A State Road 110 caller said his landlord’s son pushed him out of his residence.
• 6:32 p.m. — A South Yucca Street caller said her step-daughter was accused by her uncle and aunt of breaking into their home and stealing. The caller said this was impossible because she was with the caller decorating for Christmas.
• 7:20 p.m. — An Española Hospital caller said his mother drove him there because he had the flu, but they got into an argument so she hit him in the jaw and in the privates.
• 10:25 p.m. — A Camino Fresca Caller said her daughter was receiving cell phone calls from older men who said they were going to sexually assault her.
