Isabel Becker-Hudson, Pojoaque Valley High School choir director, plays a tune on the piano inside her classroom, May 22, during the final week of classes. Growing up, the piano served as her introduction to music thanks to her mother, who always encouraged her to keep playing and never quit. Becker-Hudson is retiring after 34 years as a music educator in the Española and Pojoaque Valley.
