Police Blotter: Naked Woman Takes Nature Walk at Golf Course

Car Service

Monday, June 6

    • 2:59 a.m. — A Middle San Pedro Road caller said he woke up when he heard glass breaking. The caller saw two men carrying baseball bats.

    • 2:16 p.m. — A Valley Auto Sales caller said someone stole a radio from a 2001 Dodge Ram parked in the lot.

    • 3:09 p.m. — A County Road 94 caller said he heard about 50 gunshots in half an hour. He said the gun sounded like a high-powered rifle.

    • 8:17 p.m. — A Hindi Avenue caller said two drunk men in their late 30s were going to the bathroom in a ditch behind the store.

    • 8:41 p.m. — A Wendy’s caller said a woman wearing a pink top and a male, who were both very thin, were hiding in the bushes. The caller said it looked like they wanted to approach cars at the restaurant.

    • 8:53 p.m. — A Calle de Pajarito caller said her 13-year-old son was jumped by a two other juveniles who live across the street. Police said they would go the next day to take a report because both groups of people were extremely drunk and there were too many stories.

    • 10:23 p.m. — A Fairview Sonic caller said a drunk man punched his windshield.

    • 11:30 p.m. — An Allsup’s caller said he almost hit a woman walking near the convenience store. He said when he stopped to see if she was OK, she offered him sexual favors in exchange for money.

Dazed and Confused

Tuesday, June 7

    • 3:30 a.m. — A Private Drive 1007A caller said he was walking home to Alcalde and someone picked him up. He said he woke up at home and realized he had been beaten up, but he didn’t know what happened.

    • 7:37 a.m. — An East Don Filgonio caller said a man was at the methadone clinic trying to sell a loaded handgun. The caller said the man stole the gun the night before and wanted to get rid of it.

    • 4:35 p.m. — A County Road 41 caller, who said he was a jail officer for Taos, said his brother hit him with a wrench on his leg, which left a bump. He said his brother was addicted to snorting pills and smoking crack and does these things in front of his children.

    • 5:18 p.m. — A Private Drive 1616 caller, whose voice was breaking up on the line, said something about $1,100 in cash and someone approaching him with a shiny weapon. The suspect said he was going to get a friend and shoot him up.

The Party’s Clearly Outside

Wednesday, June 8

    • 8:41 a.m. — A Saints and Sinners Liquors caller said a man and a woman were fighting in a van. The man fled the area and the woman fled north in the van.

    • 9:13 a.m. — A McDonald’s caller said someone came into the restaurant wearing a yellow raincoat and a “funny-looking hat.” The man threw a full can of soda on the floor, which exploded. He left.

    • 10:26 a.m. — A North Railroad Avenue caller reported a shirtless man whose red shirt was slung over his shoulder. The caller said the man was harassing everyone and throwing up gang signs.

    • 10:39 a.m. — A Party Creation and Supplies caller asked for someone to pick up several syringes between the party store and the beauty shop.

    • 2:22 p.m. — A State Road 76 caller said her husband was pulling weeds when his neighbor drove up near the fence and started harassing him. The caller said her husband had his gun outside with him because his neighbor went to his house and got something.

    • 2:49 p.m. — A Walgreens caller said about four people were inside the store carrying a tea bottle full of alcohol.

Thursday, June 9

    • 2:50 a.m. — A Private Drive 1658 caller said a woman was locked outside the house. This woman was carrying a knife and twisted the arm of a 13-year-old girl. The caller said the woman pushed her mother and tried to stab her.

    • 10:08 a.m. — An Una Auto Sales caller said someone broke into the business through a window and ransacked it, throwing files and “everything” around.

    • 2:17 p.m. — A Calle Ranchitos caller said two people were walking by a baseball field carrying electrical wire the caller thought they stole from a store.

    • 6:26 p.m. — A Black Mesa Golf Course caller said a man and a woman on the walking trail to the golf course were fighting. The caller said the woman may be unclothed.

    • 9:11 p.m. — A County Road 57 caller said she was fighting with someone and they threw her cat on the road, injuring it.

    • 9:20 p.m. — Police were told to be on the lookout for a white pickup truck last seen on State Road 291. The truck had damage to the left side and there “may or may not” have been blood on the left side of the truck.

    • 9:42 p.m. — A Calle De Pajarito caller said a child was throwing a cat in the air. The cat’s leg was broken and it had a bloody nose.

Friday, June 10

    • 12:50 a.m. — A State Road 74 caller said her grandson pushed her down, locked her out of the house, then stole $500 in $20 bills from her.

    • 8:04 a.m. — A Private Drive 1537 caller said his car was egged sometime during the night. He thought his neighbor was responsible.

    • 2:36 p.m. — A Walgreens caller complained people were doing pills in front of the store.

    • 4:48 p.m. — An Armando’s Carne Seca caller said someone came to the stand and told him someone stole his food stamps card and used it to buy carne seca. The man wanted the caller at the stand to give him the money. The caller told police he felt he was being harassed because the man was standing in front of the business, talking on his cell phone and pointing at the business.

    • 6:54 p.m. — An Española Family Dollar caller said a gray four-door car was at the business. The caller said it smelled like something died. The owner came out and the caller said nothing was wrong. The caller said the man opened the trunk and a barrel was inside it.

Saturday, June 11

    • 2:38 a.m. — A Gilbert’s Auto Repair caller said he saw two people jump a fence and run away after he saw them trying to steal a car battery.

    • 4:46 a.m. — A Chacoma Lane caller said she heard footsteps outside and saw people walking around her neighbor’s house with flashlights. She thought people broke into the house.

    • 8:42 a.m. — A Wells Fargo Bank caller said someone shot out the street-side window to the bank.

    • 10:10 a.m. — A Calle Bustos caller said a drunk man was harassing people outside, then attacked his uncle. The caller said the 73-year-old uncle was bleeding from his eye. People tried to help the uncle, and the drunk man went after them as well.

    • 3:39 p.m. — A North Riverside Drive caller said there was a drunk man at her home and she wanted him to leave. She said her husband was seen at the emergency room for a laceration to his head and he was insisting on going to find the person who did that to him. She added his brother was throwing rocks at the house.

Sunday, June 12

    • 4:07 a.m. — Police responding to a suspicious persons call at Center Market. The caller said they had a heavily intoxicated person who had been Tasered and sprayed with Mace.

    • 8:41 a.m. — A Po Pay Avenue caller said her brother hit her in the head with a fan. Her parents were there, but she said they wouldn’t tell the truth to police. Police said the caller was suicidal and needed an ambulance.

    • 9:48 a.m. — A Calle Vigil caller said two men were threatening her and her husband. She said they were riding in a tan car and waving a crow bar out the window.

    • 2:06 p.m. — A Calle Olivas caller said her father was getting harassed by two men who came by and threatened him with a gun. One of the men had a neck tattoo.

    • 5:05 p.m. — A caller said someone shot out the windows to his vehicle while it was parked at Chili’s restaurant.

    • 6:10 p.m. — A Calle Ranchitos caller said a small kitten was caught in the drain next to Wal-Mart. Animal Control officers got the kitten out and took it to the animal control center.
