Twenty Cats and Multiplying
Monday, Aug. 9
• 12:23 a.m. — A Calle Ranchitos caller said he was following a car. He said the passenger door kept “flying open” and he saw a woman crying. The caller saw a couple in the car hitting each other.
• 2:03 a.m. — A Calle Duran caller said there was a dog crying “all day long” in the neighborhood and it was keeping people awake.
• 6:41 a.m. — A North Paseo De Oñate caller reported a suspicious man who was wearing a trench coat and carrying a backpack.
• 8:43 a.m. — A Valley Drive caller saw someone throw mushrooms in her yard. The emergency dispatch call log notes that they were not illegal mushrooms.
• 9:55 a.m. — A True Value caller said someone stole some copper tubing from the store. • 2:30 p.m. — A Walmart caller said a dog was in a car and the windows were “barely” rolled down.
• 4:09 p.m. — A Vista Del Rio Apartments caller said a male and a female were shooting up in a car. She confronted them about a stolen purse and they almost hit her with their car when they left.
• 5:18 p.m. — A Valley Superette caller reported a man walking in the area with a gun in his pants. The police did not find a gun on the man but they said he had a holster.
• 5:24 p.m. — A Jemez View Street caller said he was just released from jail and he returned home to find his gate damaged and his truck “flat and wrecked.”
• 5:46 p.m. — A Ghost Ranch caller said a hiker got stuck in a ravine and had a gash to his leg that needed stitches.
• 6:51 p.m. — A South McCurdy Road caller said a neighbor who left had 20 cats that were multiplying.

Tuesday, Aug. 10
• 12:05 a.m. — An Española Hospital caller saw a drunk man slap his girlfriend in the emergency room.
• 8:53 a.m. — A County Roads 41 and 42 caller told State Police she saw someone who looked like “the Welsh female from TV.”
• 1:03 p.m. — An Arby’s caller complained there was a drunk man in the business who was refusing to leave.
• 2:33 p.m. — A Private Drive 1659 caller said she was knocked down by her dog and she hit her head on the floor.
• 3:52 p.m. — A Fairview Lane caller said she was taking a 20-month-old to the emergency room because she swallowed nail polish remover.
Shopping for Meds
Wednesday, Aug. 11
• 5 a.m. — A Canada Ancha caller said her daughter was released from the hospital and was sending “weird texts.”
• 7:11 a.m. — A County Road 75 caller said a family member punched her in the face and she fell to the floor. She said she felt dizzy.
• 10:15 a.m. — A Highway 84/285 caller complained about suspicious people in the area. The people were from the Rock Christian Church and were handing out fliers.
• 1:15 p.m. — An Española Hospital caller complained that staff there were not helping her for back pain. She asked for an ambulance to take her to Santa Fe. A staff member said she was angry because they did not prescribe the medicine she wanted.
• 3 p.m. — A San Pedro Shell station caller complained that a man was in the business telling customers that the employees were drug dealers.
• 11:17 p.m. — A Burger King caller said there was a woman walking around in circles and when people tried talking to her she just looked at them
• 11:38 p.m. — A State Road 75 caller said a man was in the area who fires a gun every night and people are afraid they’ll get hurt.
Dizzy, Itchy, Confused
Thursday, Aug. 12
• 5:18 a.m. — A North Riverside Drive caller said a homeless man had been walking around in the area for three days. He told dispatch the man was “dizzy, itchy and confused.”
• 7:49 a.m. — A Camino Del Ojo caller said an 86-year-old male fell out of bed and needed help getting back in.
• 12:34 p.m. — A Private Drive 1439 man said his son was suicidal and cut himself with a knife ten-to-20 times.
• 1:43 p.m. — A San Pedro Sonic caller complained that there were several “gang bangers” hanging around the restaurant and not ordering anything.
• 4:45 p.m. — A County Road 85 man said he had a severe migraine that could have been caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound from 17 years ago.
• 8:13 p.m. — A Valley Drive caller said her neighbor’s house was vacant but there was a man inside pacing around and going into the shed.

Friday, Aug. 13
• 6:13 a.m. — A State Road 74 caller said a large tree fell and nearly hit his car. The tree was blocking the road.
• 7:55 a.m. — A Country Road 18 caller said her neighbor’s dog got into her chicken coop and killed most of the chickens.
• 10:29 a.m. — An Arby’s staff told police that there was someone at the restaurant known as “Debbie Dog” who was defecating in her pants, dispatch logs state.
• 2:34p.m. — Walmart staff said someone tried stealing health and beauty products. They said they tried to detain the man but he ran off.
• 3:20 p.m. — A Walmart caller said a shoplifter stole $221.78 in DVD’s and ink cartridges.
• 10:20 p.m. — A Lowdermilk Street caller said she was being harassed by someone who was upset because she was with a new friend.

Saturday, Aug. 14
• 1:49 a.m. — A North Orchard Lane caller reported a fight in which one male walked away with a 7-inch cut on his head. The caller said the man was covered in blood. Call logs state the man was taken to the hospital for stitches.
• 9:30 a.m. — A Private Drive 1405 caller said a former student of his was on his property and he wanted to get it on record.
• 10:17 a.m. — Police stood by in Prairie Dog Town for a motocross race.
• 11:18 a.m. — A Santa Claran Hotel Casino caller saw a Chihuahua inside a car, which had its windows rolled up. The dog was panting. The owners were cited.
• 2:02 p.m. — A Lucero Center caller said two extremely drunk people were in the pool and they had a child with them.
• 2:20 p.m. — An Avenida Canada caller said someone broke into her house and stole a 32-inch television, a laptop, a backpack belonging to her husband and bottles of liquor.
• 3:47 p.m. — A Private Drive 1101 caller said there were five drunk people swimming in the Rio Grande.
• 5:11 p.m. — A The Works Day Spa and Salon caller said a man came in and stole $200 worth of makeup brushes.
• 7:13 p.m. — A Chimayó Highway caller said a man told her he was going to break into her house and sell her car.
• 7:53 p.m. — A Walgreen’s manager said he caught a male who was shoplifting and the male pulled a pair of scissors on him. The shoplifter left.
• 8:23 p.m. — A Calle de Pajarito caller complained about a loud party in which people were riding a pony.
Kayak, Owner Reunited
Sunday, Aug. 15
• 1:29 a.m. — A Private Drive 1428 caller said he heard people arguing and then heard gunshots.
• 1:37 a.m. — A County Road 95 caller told State Police her boyfriend was hitting her and she locked him out of the house. She said he was trying to break in again.
• 7:59 a.m. — A State Road 68 caller saw a kayak caught against the rocks in the river. The incident was reported as a possible drowning but police talked to a man who knew the owner. That man said the kayak was lost two days before and the owner was fine.
• 12:55 p.m. — A County Road 548 caller said she believed someone was poisoning her dogs. She said two dogs died and she said the bags of their food smelled strange.
• 4:48 p.m. — A County Road 41 caller said a man in a SUV pulled a gun out and said he was going to kill him.
• 9:14 p.m. — A Burger King caller said a man pulled out a gun in the parking lot.
