Missing Woman Found Napping
Monday, May 31
• 2:15 a.m. — Two suspicious men with flashlights were walking around Calle Chacoma Vista, a caller reported. They told police they were helping a neighbor look for his dog.
• 11:46 a.m. — A woman calling from the Santuario de Chimayó said her son was unstable, hadn’t slept for a few days and was getting aggressive because he thought his father was trying to separate him from his girlfriend.
• 1:04 p.m. — A McCurdy Road caller told police she hadn’t seen her neighbor for a few days and her front door was open. Police found the homeowner asleep on the kitchen floor.
• 1:33 p.m. — A wife and husband were driving four-wheelers near the Mundy Ranch when an unidentified individual standing on a chair started shooting at them, they said.
Stalker Steals Flower Pots
Tuesday, June 1
• 1:49 a.m. — A man told police he had just shot his .22 rifle at a couple of individuals walking through the back of his property. He said the intruders were probably neighbors from down the road.
• 3:46 a.m. — A La Joya Street man said his cleaning lady was trying to get into his apartment. He declined to file a report, but called 25 minutes later to report that some men driving a light blue Cavalier were going around the parking lot siphoning gas out of cars.
• 10:13 a.m. — A Laguna Street caller said an elderly woman in a green car was carrying a knife and throwing rocks at her. The two women had been arguing earlier, the caller said.
• 4:07 p.m. — Two flower pots “worth $200 a piece” were stolen from a Mountain View Street woman’s backyard, she said. Someone had been calling her home the previous night and breathing heavily on the phone, she said.
• 5:28 p.m. — A Rio Chama man who had been gone five days returned home drunk, was accusing his wife of cheating on him and asking for his weapon, she said.

Wednesday, June 2
• 1:52 a.m. — Police were asked to be on the lookout for a 5-foot, 200-pound man walking from Nambé Falls to Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo and carrying a large amount of money.
• 11:04 a.m. — A woman across from the Ranchitos pool said her brother broke into her van and slept there overnight.
• 3:19 p.m. — Walgreens staff said a man caught shoplifting at the liquor store was trying to fight the manager. The man was detoxed.
• 4:14 p.m. — An Ojo Caliente man said his neighbor’s daughter broke into his clubhouse and stole his books and movies and a collection of bullet shells.
• 10:53 p.m. — A woman wearing a pink dress was reportedly staggering all over the southbound lane of State Road 68 in Velarde.
‘Put Some Clothes On’
Thursday, June 4
• 5:59 p.m. — A Chili’s employee said her belongings had been removed from the house where she used to live and tossed into the yard. The person living in the house now was threatening to burn her things unless she found a truck to pick them up, she said.
• 8:08 p.m. — A Matilda’s Café caller reported a man was taking pictures of the caller’s 5-year-old niece. Police found the photographers were just “Oriental tourists taking pictures of the area.”
• 8:47 p.m. — A nude boy was walking around Harley Lane, a neighbor said. Police told the boy’s parents to “get him inside and put some clothes on.”
• 10:11 p.m. — A Chimayó woman said her uncle was stalking her. She told dispatchers she owes her uncle money for a cell phone, but she can’t pay him right now and he won’t leave her alone. The woman said her uncle was going around telling neighbors he will put her in jail and that she is a rat.
Who’s the Boss?
Friday, June 5
• 12:18 p.m. — A boy was sitting alone inside a Ford Explorer with the windows rolled up, a shopper said. The boy’s mother told police her son felt he was the boss and didn’t have to go in the store with his mother. The boy was persuaded to accompany his mother into the store. Police reported the incident to the state Children, Youth and Families Department.
• 1:16 p.m. — Two men were seen spray-painting walls near Johnny’s Standard Motor Parts. The men were turned over to Santa Clara Tribal Police.
• 5:05 p.m. — A Velarde man said his mother is “maybe losing her mind.” The woman was “doing weird things,” like cooking outside with the fire at full blast, he said.
• 9:51 p.m. — An elderly man was reported crawling on his hands and knees near the Ohkay Express Mart.

Saturday, June 5
• 2:10 a.m. — A Calle Chavez woman said a drug addict broke into her house and was going into seizures from heroin withdrawal. He was detoxed.
• 11:12 a.m. — U-Lock-It Storage staff said a man was banging on the door of a storage unit with an ax. The man told police he lost the key to his unit and was trying to break off the lock.
• 5:56 p.m. — An elderly caller said her daughter came to stay with her because her husband kicked her out and was starting arguments for no good reason.
• 6:18 p.m. — A female teenager ran away and was sending her parents text messages saying she loved them but could no longer live with them, her mother said. The daughter wrote that her parents will never see her again, and that she regretted she couldn’t take her 12-year-old sister with her.
• 8:45 p.m. — A woman said she recognized the man who broke into her house two weeks ago at Red’s Tavern. The man pulled out a gun and threatened to “shoot her right now” when she confronted him, she said.
‘Loud Family’
Sunday, June 6
• 3:55 a.m. — A Santa Claran hotel patron reported four occupants of a Nissan Sentra appeared to be “snorting something.” The suspects were found to be hotel guests and were asked to leave the premises.
• 11:17 a.m. — A Velarde woman said her son had received psychiatric treatment at St. Vincent Hospital the week before and was hearing voices again telling him “it is going to be OK now.” The man told police he had overheard his mother’s 911 call and clarified that he was not hearing voices.
• 3:08 p.m. — Officers were approached by a male who said another man “came at him with a fork.”
• 6:08 p.m. — A man was drinking alcohol at the Valdez Park playground and yelling at his wife, a caller said. Police determined the man was not drunk, and that they were “just a loud family.”
