Woman Becomes Homeless … Again
Monday, Jan. 17
• 12:19 a.m. — A Red’s Steak House caller said a Mexican national was beaten by two men and kicked in the face.
• 6:39 a.m. — A Carr Lane caller said people were stealing bikes and mattresses and throwing them over the wall onto Wal-Mart property.
• 5:29 p.m. — A Fairview Sonic caller said people in a gray Pontiac with tinted windows were harassing carhops there.
• 6:42 p.m. — A Calle Duran caller said she was getting harassing telephone calls from family members of a woman who she recently kicked out of her house for refusing “to change her ways.” The caller said this woman was previously living under a bridge.
• 8:04 p.m. — A Wendy’s caller reported an employee stole $260 from the safe and there was surveillance video of him taking the money.
• 8:16 p.m. — A County Road 98 caller said a drunk woman drove herself to his house and broke out a window. He said he was trying to talk to her but she wanted to fight.
Calling All Cat Ladies
Tuesday, Jan. 18
• 8:11 a.m. — A Juan Medina Road caller said two women, who she thought were sisters, were fighting, yelling and throwing things at each other outside.
• 2:07 p.m. — A Center Market caller said a pedestrian was playing “chicken” with traffic.
• 4:05 p.m. — A Camino De Las Animas caller said there were about 60 cats around his home and he wanted them removed. Animal Control officers said they would leave a trap there.
• 7:34 p.m. — A County Road 56 caller said a 70-year-old man fell in a ditch and possibly broke his nose and ribs. The caller said he had been trying to get the man out since 5 p.m. One of the two men weighed 300 pounds and had been drinking, the dispatch log stated, but it did not specify which one.
Foul Woman Outs Brother
Wednesday, Jan. 19
• 12:47 a.m. — Police asked a man who was sleeping in front of an automatic teller machine on Fairview Lane to move.
• 7:41 a.m. — A Private Drive 1742 caller said she walked by her neighbor’s house and saw someone with a rifle hiding behind a bush.
• 4:45 p.m. — A State Road 30 caller said she needed an officer because her brother was being aggressive and hit her husband. She told dispatch her brother was gay. She then told dispatch workers they could kiss her somewhere and she hung up the phone.
• 9:09 p.m. — A Highway 84 caller said her friend walked over to her house and stabbed herself with a knife just above her bellybutton. She passed out, but woke up again and started talking before passing out again. A Sheriff’s deputy said she was admitted to a hospital intensive care unit, but ran out the door.

Thursday, Jan. 20
• 1:09 p.m. — A Private Drive 1511 caller said an old man was blocking the roadway and refusing to allow people through to their houses.
• 2:14 p.m. — A Chili Line Court caller said a guy in a sport utility vehicle “flipped him off” and started calling him names because the caller told the man to stop honking his horn.
• 6:03 p.m. — A South McCurdy Road caller said his wife’s boyfriend was calling him and threatening to beat him up.
• 8:03 p.m. — A County Road 41A caller said he got home to find someone kicked in his front door. A .22 rifle and a “corn machine” were missing from his home.

Friday, Jan. 21
• 9:36 a.m. — A North McCurdy Road caller said he thought his wife and daughter were murdered because he saw them getting buried and also saw someone in a body bag. Police said they checked the area and found that everyone was OK. They said the man was having mental problems.
• 11:36 a.m. — A Highway 84 caller said a woman was released from the hospital for an overdose and was fighting with her mother and grandmother. She said the woman was pulling her hair and trying to get the keys to her car. Deputies went to the scene and said one of the women was hallucinating and seeing things on the floor.
• 1:25 p.m. — An Española Valley High School caller said two males snorted a pill for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
• 2:43 p.m. — An Española Valley High School caller said three students were caught with Ecstasy and two others were caught with pharmaceutical drugs.

Saturday, Jan. 22
• 2:47 p.m. — A Center Market caller said staff detained a man who was trying to steal $20 worth of T-bone steaks.
• 6:58 p.m. — A Private Drive 1504 caller complained about someone in a pickup truck doing donuts in his yard.
• 9:02 p.m. — A Starlighter Loop caller said she broke up with her boyfriend and he was threatening to send naked pictures of her to his friends.
• 10:03 p.m. — A Chimayó Trading Post caller said a woman jumped out in front of a vehicle and then started dancing on the road. The caller added the woman was also possibly making out with a stop sign. Police said the woman was not intoxicated.
Snitches Fail to Get Stitches
Sunday, Jan. 23
• 11:05 a.m. — An Avenida Canada caller heard a young boy screaming for help next door. She later learned the boys were fighting with their father, who said they would not listen to him.
• 1:33 p.m. — A Crown Liquors caller said he was being chased by a man who had a rock. He said the man was busted for drugs and was blaming him for snitching to the police.
• 5:41 p.m. — A Rio Chama Chevron caller said a woman was in the road and a man in a red Jeep Cherokee was chasing after her. The caller said someone was hit by a car and a woman was punched in the back of her head. The woman had a seizure and was transported to the hospital. State Police said they had the suspect.
