No Shirt, No Service

Monday, May 25

    • 12:21 a.m. — A Western Holiday Inn guest said her ex-boyfriend was trying to do something to her 30-year-old daughter. He was detoxed.

    • 11:34 a.m. — A caller said a man in a Ford Expedition was hanging around Calle Redonda playing music really loud. He told police he would lower the volume.

    • 2:32 p.m. — A caller said a man was hanging around the Wells Fargo ATM asking for money. Police couldn’t find him.

    • 2:37 p.m. — A caller said an intoxicated man ordered food at the Fairview Sonic and was taking off his shirt. He was gone when police arrived.

Tuesday, May 26

    • 12:36 a.m. —  A Simmons Lane caller said her sister had too much to drink and was causing trouble. Someone else took the phone and said her mother had her aunt pinned to the ground because she had too much to drink. No report was taken.

    • 1:56 p.m. — A woman, who made a walk-in complaint at the Sheriff’s Department, said she paid with a credit card at a local store and got someone else’s credit card back.

    • 5:28 p.m. — A Calle Cordelia caller said when he arrived home from work, he discovered someone had broken into his shed and stolen his grill. Police took a report.

Pickle Thieves

Wednesday, May 27

    • 1:34 a.m. — A Hindi Lane caller said a man went to his house yelling for help and dirty words. The caller said the man had come to his house before asking to use the phone and broke some items in the house. An ambulance picked up the man for treatment.

    • 7:44 a.m. — An Ohkay Express Mart caller said some men stole a 30-pack of beer and some pickles. 911 dispatchers advised local law enforcement to be on the lookout.

    • 11:55 a.m. — A caller said her ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend was driving around harassing her while she was doing community service. Police determined no crime had been committed.

    • 2:24 p.m. — A County Animal Control officer said some people at an Upper San Pedro residence stole a dog accused of biting and were claiming they hadn’t done so. They eventually released the dog.

    • 4:26 p.m. — A State Road 554 caller said someone tried to steal a pump from the side of her house. No report was taken.

Thursday, May 28

    • 2:26 p.m. — A County Road 58 caller said a man followed him home and broke the windows on his Jeep. Police took a report.

    • 5:20 p.m. — A caller said some juveniles offered her a ride in Velarde but she didn’t get into the car because it smelled like marijuana. Officers were advised to be on the lookout for the car.

    • 5:55 p.m. — A woman came into the State Police headquarters in Española to complain that her daughter was hanging around with the wrong crowd. She left upset because she thought the officer she spoke to was being rude.

    • 6:59 p.m. — A caller said she and her husband were arguing because she was having an affair. No report was taken.

Friday, May 29

    • 7:15 a.m. — A Camino de Paz caller said she and her husband were in the process of getting a divorce, and he was stalking her. She said he called her and said he was watching her all night.

    • 2:15 p.m. — A caller said a woman at Foster’s Bar in Chama accused her of stealing her change purse. She said the woman took a plastic bag full of change and hit the caller in the face with it. The caller didn’t need medical attention and didn’t want police to contact the suspect.

     • 4:46 p.m. — A caller heard shots fired in the Tierra Amarilla area. Police found a man possibly shooting a prairie dog. An officer advised him to stop shooting prairie dogs.

    • 6:28 p.m. — A caller said she moved out of a Camino Quintana residence and now transients were drinking in there and tearing it apart. Police photographed the damage.

    • 8:00 p.m. — A County Road 10 caller said he saw someone smoking crack cocaine on his property.

    • 11:18 p.m. — A State Road 68 caller said a car speeding down a private driveway almost ran over her son. She said he fell onto a gate and broke a tooth. No report was taken.

Saturday, May 30

    • 9:04 a.m. — A caller said he was shutting off the water at a State Road 73 house due to non-payment and expected problems with the resident. Police did a civil standby.        

    • 3:41 p.m. — A Highway 64 caller said she was being harassed by her ex-sister-in-law, who had sent a text message threatening to beat her up. She was advised to get a restraining order.

    • 4:34 p.m. — A State Road 76 caller said a drunk was walking around in the middle of the road. He was advised to stay off the road and go home.

    • 4:59 p.m. — A Riverbend Motel caller said a man was confronting some guests. The incident was determined to be the result of miscommunication, and the man said he would apologize to hotel management.

    • 10:53 a.m. — A County Road 55 caller said his new tenants tagged his buildings and other properties. Police took a report.

    • 2:29 p.m. — A Sundial caller said a customer that lost her keys was panicking.
